SquidGrips (Xbox 360)

When it comes to products in general I'm always glad to see things that are actually made here in the USA. Sadly it's becoming more, and more evident that our jobs are being outsourced to other countries. Before you get all riled up about what I just said, I'm glad that we are getting some products from other countries. I'd just like the United States to be more self sustaining if you know what I mean? Without rambling on too much further ... SquidGrips are a high quality product that are made here in the USA which is totally awesome in my book. Aside from that fact the packaging of the product is environmentally friendly. It even has a label stating that the product was made using environmentally friendly methods (100% wind power). It's a "win-win" situation if you ask me.

SquidGrips are definitely all about quality. Aside from being made in the USA, and having an environmentally friendly packaging the product also has some extremely noteworthy features. If you're worried about germs as some people rightfully are then you'll be glad to know that the actual grips are anti-microbial, meaning that bacteria can't thrive on them. This helps out if you share your controller with family members, or friends. Accompanying that unique, and quite helpful feature is the technology behind the product. The SquidGrips have a "stay dry" technology that actually does as it says. I'm one of those dudes whose hands sweat a lot, and I did not have on instance of sweating or slipping when using the grips. I can certainly attest to the effectiveness this feature.

Applying SquidGrips to a controller is extremely easy. While the label on the package shows that the product isn't meant for children ages 0-8 I still believe such a child could apply them (5-8 yrs.). As you can see in the photograph above the individual grips are die cut in a specific pattern that allows for each grip to only fit the appropriate side of the controller. Along with the package, and grips you'll find an instruction booklet that goes over the details of how to apply each part of the grips. It also shows step-by-step diagrams to aid you in this procedure.

The presentation, and functionality of this product is both sleek, and efficient. The developer behind the product has gone out of their way to impress the consumer on many levels. Such things as the ease of application, and the extra logo buttons (badges) make this product stand out from the competition. As a reviewer I gave the grips a proper test run, and they did not disappoint. Besides making my controller look super sexy I was able to enjoy gaming without having to wipe my hands dry on my pants. The material that the grips are made of provide the proper hold so that the likelihood of a gamers' hand slipping during gameplay is almost impossible. Being able to maintain a strong hold in intense gaming situations is definitely possible with this product.

I was going to try to deliver an unbiased review as I did with the other grips, but SquidGrips impressed me greatly. As far as I'm concerned this product is a "must have" for all the hardcore gamers out there. While they cost $14.99 they are still well worth the asking price. The fact that the official website allows gamers to customize the badges (logo buttons) only makes the package deal all the more sweeter.
