KontrolFreek (Xbox 360): "FPS Freek Havoc & FPS Freek Infinity"

Sometimes the greatest things come in the smallest packages. This is a quote that definitely applies to KontrolFreek's latest controller enhancements. When the two sets of KontrolFreeks arrived at my house I was a little surprised to see how simple they were, and how small the package was that they were in. Initially I wasn't seeing the reason for the price, but as I tested them out I soon realized that they definitely warranted the cost. After reading the postcard explaining what the "FPS HAVOC", and "FPS INFINITY" were all about I set out to give them a proper testing. For about a week I spent hours in "MW3", and "HALO REACH" trying out the various modes within each game, so I could get optimal results for my final verdict. In the following paragraphs I'll go over the technical details, and descriptions of each set of KontrolFreeks.

Akai Katana (Xbox360): "The Shmup Genre At It's Finest!!!"

Those of you who follow me on the various social sites that I frequent will likely have heard of my quest to obtain a review copy of 'Akai Katana'. It was by mere chance that I happened upon a trailer to this game while doing my routine search for review material earlier this year. Unknown to some of you I have actually been trying my best to secure retail games for review, and for the most part that venture has been a failure. It wasn't until I contacted 'Rising Star Games (The Developer Behind Akai Katana)' that a small glimmer of hope began to shine for me. Rising Star Games was more than glad to send me a copy of the game, and I'm truly grateful for that. While I do admit I was a little bit impatient in my wait for it's arrival I'm definitely glad I finally got it. If you guys don't have a clue what 'Akai Katana' is then allow me to enlighten you with my review of the game.

Deadliest Warrior: Ancient Combat (Xbox 360)

I was extremely excited about getting "Deadliest Warrior: Ancient Combat" for review. It marked a significant milestone for my blog. It meant I was literally stepping up my game from doing reviews on XBLIG, and XBLA titles to doing retail game reviews. Ben PerLee of (Reverb Inc.) was the guy who made this happen for me, and I'm very appreciative of that. The sad news is that not long after getting the game I experienced some significant issues with the game that kept me from completing my playthrough. I went back, and forth with Ben trying to figure out what was wrong, but every explanation he offered did not help in sorting out the unfortunate situation. In the end I think the fault lies with the game's unorthodox presentation. The fact that it didn't not load like regular retail (disc based) games is likely the reason for the complications. Keeping this in mind I have decided to go ahead with my review as best as I can. While I may not be able to provide every detail of the game I will do my best to explain it to you. I will also briefly go over the issue that plagues the game in it's current state.

MW3 vs BF3 (Xbox 360): "The Breakdown"

As most of you know by now I own/play both 'CoD: Modern Warfare 3', and 'Battlefield 3' for the Xbox 360. I know that a lot of you are still curious as to which is the better game, and this article will try help explain the differences between each of them. Earlier in the week a friend told me that you can't really do a true comparison of the two games, because they are totally different in terms of what they offer. After considering that I decided the best way to do my article is to give my readers the lowdown on what's good, and what's bad about each game. The article will be arranged out in sections that describe various parts of the games including graphics, sound quality, gameplay, controls, customization, modes, and other features.
