Seven Pirates H | Nintendo Switch

Compile Heart and EastAsiaSoft seem to be a match made in horny heaven. Ever since the companies have decided to go rogue and against the grain by offering lewd content on the only modern gaming platform that will allow it they have gotten away with some rather controversial releases. Seven Pirates H is no different in that regard though it pushes the boundaries of decency a bit further than previous EastAsiaSoft titles. This touchy touchscreen release that is "Seven Pirates H" is all about breasts. Boobies, if you will. That and ill gotten pirate booty.

It begins with the introduction of female pirate Parute Kairi, and her sailing misfortune. As fate would have it she bumps boobs with the infamous panty thief or monster boy Otton who actually hails from other Compile Heart titles. This time around though Otton is selling to the leading ladies his cure for flat chests. Booby training! Through booby training the girls of the game can raise RPG attributes, and learn new skills. Empowering them to take on the monster girls and boys of their world. Growing their breast size, cleavage, softness, and perkiness in the process. Through perfected party management in a turn based battle system these boob obsessed pillagers of pirate fame face the odds, loot, and plunder to their hearts content for all that they need to fulfill their perverted pirating fantasies. All at the promise of bigger, and better things ...

In a lot of ways "Seven Pirates H" does not stray too far from the beaten Compile Heart JRPG formula. There's plenty of storytelling told through voiced cutscenes as well as dungeon exploration done up in a 3D manner. Wherein events transpire, battles happen, and loot is collected for efforts rendered. As Parute Kairi, and her joining party of perverted pirate playmates, sailing from island to island while making the most of their adventures is their key focus. Between the combat, curious character encounters, and booby training sessions at special items' expense they grow into the formidable force they have set out to be. All while their monstrous competition grows in size as well.

The heated harem action of "Seven Pirates H" is divided up into a few different scandalous activities. These said activities include sailing from locale to locale to satiate the desire to defeat naughty enemies, and loot the areas for all they're worth. Ultimately scouring the seas for seven tantalizing treasures. Alongside that are intermittent conversational tidbits done up in visual novel style featuring the game's leading ladies. Allowing the player to become better acquainted with the characters of interest. Lastly, but not least, is the mini-game that is "Booby Training". It will offer up the game's only way of boosting, and adjusting party member stats. This lewd mini-game, of course, is centered around all things breast related. Rewarding in kind for diddling with the Pirates' boobies through key motions or button inputs.

When it comes to the JRPG combat in "Seven Pirates H" you've got your basic choices including attack, defend, run, use item, and skills. All accessible via DPad directions, and a pressing of the required face buttons. When it's your party's turn you can choose one of these actions per character. With skills being a situational affair tied to the character's aroused state. As your characters deal, and take damage they will eventually become excited, or aroused. Something that is shown through a short animation sequence. In these sinful states they can use powerful skills they've learned from their booby training. Of course this costs MP meter which must be refilled when emptied in order for skills to be used. Each character also has a certain amount of HP that can be refilled with items, or through leveling up. Losing all characters' HP will result in a GAME OVER, so saving frequently through the face button accessed menu is imperative.

Each battle your pirate party faces, which is started by contact with a 3D avatar of the enemy on the dungeon playing field, can be either preemptive or surprising leading to either an advantage or disadvantage, respectfully. Once in battle it's a static, but animated turn based system in which player controlled characters take their turn or monsters, theirs. Rotating until there's a victor. If your party's the victor that means currency and loot to boot. That and experience points.

As far as adjusting your booty seeking babes' breasts, and their associated stats is concerned you'll find that the use of key potions, and the booby training mini-game will be your go to source for said party member improvement. This mode of sorts puts the females of your party front and center of your screen. On that screen you have two ways to interact with their breasts. Either through controls or the touchscreen. Using rotating motions, spreading or pinching motions, and lifting or tugging downwards motions you can enhance or decrease a pirate's attributes. Physically altering their breasts' softness, size, perkiness, and cleavage in kind. Ultimately buffing/debuffing their attack, defense, HP, MP, and other such things. That and adding new skills to their skills options. Each action taken within the timed booby training mini-game will offer up results according to the motions applied. The game does good to explain all this in detail through step by step tutorial screens prior to allowing you to test it out for yourself.

In the way of dungeon exploration each island has it's lesser enemies and bosses. That, and events which will progress the story. You will transition form area to area within these locales by passing through dotted borders, or triggering events via floating icon. Additionally within each given area lies respawning monsters of the perverse type. Things like ball sack looking slimes, and literal penises known as knobs will cross your path. Playing into the perverted nature of this particular pirate themed JRPG. It is through battles with these monsters that you will level up, earn currency, and earn items necessary for venturing forth. Also to note is the game's Pheromones system which brings with it contrasting weaknesses/strength according to a triangle of three colors. Red, Green, and Blue. Each of which is either strong or weak against the others. Giving the player an edge if they can properly utilize the mechanic in battle.

Items, equipment, and weapons can be bought through this game's version of vendors much like previous Compile Heart JRPGs. Certain things can also be looted from chests found out in the island dungeons as well as gained from battles. Staying stocked, and well equipped is a must for the progressively difficult encounters that lie in wait on your many sailing trips. Alongside those usual methods are lucrative side quests wherein certain feats yield certain payouts. Items, equipment, and weapons included. Needless to say your adventure has many tasks for the undertaking. Enough to give you your money's worth.

The Verdict ...

Seven Pirates H is not going to be everyone's cup of tea. It is highly suggestive by design, and features a mechanic that is truly perverse. If you can handle that, and aren't afraid of your housemates giving you suspect glances as you play, it might be something you'll enjoy. Combat, and dungeon exploration is fairly much like other Compile Heart releases with a slightly different spin. They never do seem to tread too far away from their established features. That in itself may or may not be a turn off, but the game does still have it's own unique identity through the characters, and pirate theme. Personally, I'm not bothered by the sexual side of it, because I am an adult who has seen far worse. To the studio's defense they at least add humor through the perversion. It's not particularly perverse for the sake of being perverted. It's more or less a running joke of the mature kind.
