Get To Tha Choppa Twooo!!2 (XBLIG): "A Hot Chick, Zombies & Explosive Fast Paced Action!!"

I've really began to like this new genre of running themed indie games. I've reviewed a couple of them here on OtakuDante's Gaming Inferno (Rainbow Runner & The Jump Hero), and I've really enjoyed playing them. Recently SoSoDev released their second game in this genre of indies called 'Get To Tha Choppa Twooo!!2'. I had never played or even watched a video trailer of their first installment of the series, but if it was anything like this sequel then I'd be up for playing it as well. I'm a score junkie, and any game that has global scoreboards is awesome in my book. This game not only has a global scoreboard, but it delivers a quality experience with it's hand drawn visuals and beat based soundtrack.

Like the previous games I mentioned 'Get To Tha Choppa Twooo!!2' uses constant running as it's main theme. In this game you take control of a hot chick (girl) as she tries to escape a horde of quickly advancing zombies. You must use quick reflexes, and intense focus to dodge the various obstacles that appear before you (missiles, mines, zombies). Dodging these obstructive things requires the use of the 'Left Thumbstick' for ducking/sliding under missiles, the 'A' button for jumping over land mines, and the 'X' button for shooting incoming zombies. These maneuvers aren't your only tools at hand though. The ever-advancing chopper will sometimes yield a gift that can be used by pressing the 'Y' button. Sometimes the extra gift will give you 'Knight Power!' that turns you into a rocket powered roller skating knight, a Nyjon Pup (Like the Nyan Cat) which flies ahead of you taking out objects/zombies, or a '4x Score Multiplier'. All of these extra boosts only last for a short while, but definitely help out with your score. Using them as frequently as you can will greatly enhance your chances of being one of the top ten players on the global scoreboard.

In the end I found 'Get To Tha Choppa Twoo!!2' to be an extremely fun game. The music playing in the background suited the intensity of the gameplay. The game also did a good job of easing you into higher speeds which is a huge plus in a running style game such as this one. I did end up running into a fairly serious flaw during my playthrough of the game though. At certain times the game would glitch/lag/skip causing my hot babe to die unfairly. I think this is an issue that definitely needs to be fixed. If the game can be patched I would say it is definitely worth the points.
