Fred's Fridays Ep.5: "Beware the Convicted!"

"Television just got all kinds of twisted! Meet the new 'Three Stooges'!"
'The Convicted' - According to game developer Adam Anderson these latest characters are part of a really nasty gang. The gang in the above picture is composed of two criminals, and a lunatic. You will find that this particular gang will be the sole gang of 'Dawn of the Fred', but that there will be other gangs within 'Night of the Fred'. What makes these gangs so dangerous (besides their origins - prison & the insane asylum) is the fact that they keep 'Exiled Zombies' as pets! It's probably best that you avoid these misfits of the apocalypse at all costs!

Chapter 5: "Beware the Convicted"

Fred has had it rough to say the least. He's been attacked by weirdos, and has even found himself lost in some sort of nightmarish reality. He had wanted to point out the perps responsible for his whacked out hazing, but said the heck with it and sojourned on to continue his search for his parents. Fred wandered the streets for what seemed like an eternity. Every building he passed seemed vaguely reminiscent of others he'd already seen. As day turned to night Fred found himself walking past an insane asylum, and a prison that were unnervingly close together and eerily desolate. The site of the condemned buildings offered no peace of mind for our wandering friend. As he passed by the buildings he heard a familiar moan that brought back memories of the nightmare he had recently endured. Fearing the worst Fred made a mad dash down the abandoned street he was walking on.

Before he could make it too far three figures emerged from a side alleyway ten feet ahead of him. At first Fred couldn't make out their features, but as they stepped under the flickering light of a nearby lamp post chills ran down his spine. What appeared before him could best be described as a gang of zombified prisoners, and an asylum escapee. Fred stood frozen with fear as his worst horror was realized when an exiled zombie also emerged from the shadows tethered to a rope which was held by the lunatic. With nowhere obvious to run Fred stood still as the gang slowly approached. Fred thought to himself "Is this how it ends?". As the thought crossed his bewildered mind a rush of adrenaline began to flow through his veins. All he knew is that he must, at all costs find his parents. He clenched his fists, and let the adrenaline wash away his fears readying himself for a battle that would no doubt be epic in nature.

Just as the the gang was three feet in front of Fred, he rushed at them with all the fury of a deranged psychopath. His fear had definitely left him, and all that remained was his will to survive. As his fist collided with the first of the gang members the impact seemed to play out like a fight scene from the "Matrix" movies Fred had watched before the zombie apocalypse had occurred. The gang member skipped across the pavement like a stone skipping across a pond. His body twisted, and contorted from the impact. The other two gang members stood in disbelief for a brief moment realizing Fred wasn't a force to be reckoned with. Without a second's thought the lunatic holding the exiled zombie screamed "SICK 'EM!!!", an released the hulking monstrosity. In a flurry of punches, kicks, and attacks that only a karate master could perform, Fred defeated the towering foe. It's inanimate body lay motionless on the street. Now panicking the remaining two gang members bolted back into the darkness of the alleyway yelling as they went, "YOU HAVEN'T SEEN THE LAST OF US BOY!!!". Glad that the encounter was over, and somewhat amazed at what he had accomplished Fred continued to walk down the street knowing now that nothing could stand in the way of his goal.

To be continued ...
