In a true sequel fashion Freelance Games, the developers behind the XBLIG hit "Trailer Park King" series starts this newest chapter of King's adventure off with a brief flashback detailing what went on in the previous episode. When we last left King he was in the midst of a dilemma concerning Truck's "condition". The entire trailer park had deemed Truck as a zombie since he hadn't been acting like himself, and were insistent about finding out the truth. With the aid of his interesting lady friends (and a couple of redneck men) King has made it his priority to find out whether, or not Truck is really a zombie. Using Skinny's guide to zombies King sets out to free his nemesis from the hamster ball cage he is currently imprisoned in, so that he can regain access to his precious porn. Will we ever get to see the porn on King's tv? Will Truck be cleared of his inhuman label? What about the aliens? It's all up to you to find out. Be wary though as all is not as it seems in the good old trailer park ...
As I mentioned in the intro paragraph this chapter of "The Trailer Park" king is a true sequel. It's not often that a game developer of any kind goes through the trouble to offer the gamer a refresher on the happenings of their previous game, but Freelance Games did just that. After button mashing your way through the intro you'll find the same perverse hijinks that all followers of this series have come to know, and enjoy. The ladies of the trailer park are showing more skin than they usually do, and certain female body parts are poking through their shirts. The game itself looks the same as all of the previous games in the series with the exception of the trailer park layout. King does give some backstory concerning the trailer park's current whereabouts via a conversation with Ms. Swallows though. As far as the story goes it's a little less involved than that of previous chapters of the series. It mainly focuses on King's quest to prove that Truck isn't a zombie, so that he can get his porn hooked back up.
As for the the ladies of the trailer park they all return in their full glory with the same voice actresses as before. Celine still has her French-Canadian accent, and the other girls (Mona, Nikki, Vicki ...) all have their own versions of a Southern accent. When it comes to the men of the trailer park (Dover, Skinny & Truck) their voice actors also return with their overly exaggerated redneck accents. You'll hear Truck say "Dumba**" numerous times throughout the game as it is part of his nature. Nikki on the other hand is the usual UFO nut she always has been, and returns with a sexy surprise for all those who are willing to give this game a chance. The voice acting, and dialogue is definitely this series high point. You will be laughing your a** off as you hear the patrons of the trailer park talk their trash. Through a wide variety of character interactions, and the usual point and click detective work you will bring out the weirdness from all of King's wacky friends. You'll even find a mini-game or two embedded in this off-the-wall tale adding to it's already hilarious plot. There's definitely a lot to explore as you delve deeper into the world of the trailer park king.
In conclusion I'm gonna say what I've always said about this series. It offers a genuinely good laugh for all those adult gamers out there. The graphics may not be next-gen in quality, but the story more than makes up for that. The persistent, and unchanging voice acting only adds to the quality of the outlandish tale that is told. All of the characters are as they were in previous installments of the game making this series a continuously solid experience. Even the sexual innuendo that was made evident in the earlier installments of the series is still very much intact. Things like the off screen BJ (compliments of the nurse) really spice things up again for gamers. The fact that the Freelance Games added bonus vibration to the controller during that particular sequence gives the act in question a more realistic feel. If for some reason you haven't taken my advice, and picked up this series for yourself I highly suggest that you do (assuming you are of age). It's very affordable (80 msp per episode/chapter), and very much worth the playthrough! What are you waiting for!?
