What's Goin' On - 7/18/2014

It's been a while since my last post, and there's a good reason for that. During the beginning of July I was pretty much left high & dry with only porn to review. Thankfully now though I have picked up some games, and DLC extras to cover on this blog. If you've been following my daily tweets, and mentioned activities on Twitter you'll know that I picked up a handful of new video games, and DLC to review this month including a new Atlus release, and a Zen Pinball 2 DLC pack. Atlus, and ACE Team's "Abyss Odyssey" is what I'm currently working on, and trying my hardest to complete. After that I'll be taking on the Zen Pinball 2 PS4 table DLC re-releases that were shared with me. My intention with 'Abyss Odyssey" is to do a thorough review since the game wasn't that easy to figure out at first. I want to give the game a fair chance before posting my definitive opinion. As far as the re-released Zen Pinball 2 tables go I will be briefly rehashing what I know about each table, and set of tables. I'll also do a comparison paragraph, or two explaining what the PS4 upgrade has in store for the gamer. I hope you stick around, and continue to follow my progress as I will be reviewing even more games in the months to come.

Now for some serious talk ... I hope that despite the current real world tragedies, and ongoing conflicts that have taken place that you have been doing alright this week. I know that it may be tough for some of you to get past the bad events plaguing the world, and honestly it's even difficult for me, but we must do our best to live the best life that we can. Moping around, and feeling sorry for yourself, or depressed is not going to get you anywhere in life. I firmly believe that there are enough positive things about, and in the world around us that we can make those things shine even brighter than the negative darkness that currently engulfs a majority of it. I hope one day that mankind as a whole will overcome their differences, and work together to combat the real threat which lies with the leaders who would lead them astray. Unless we are collectively able to live amongst each other in true equality we as humanity will never know peace. We as humans are not the threat, and never really were. It's  the instilled ideals, and beliefs embedded in our cultures that sway us to do the things that we do. We need to think for ourselves for once, and discover the meaning of life on our own if we are ever to see the truth behind our existence. Peace is well within reach, but can only be obtained if we truly desire it.

On a more positive note ... I still want to do those "Five Dollar Flick" giveaways. The only thing holding me back though is the fact that no one really seems that interested. I asked you in my "Limitless" DVD review for some advice on how to do the giveaway, and really wanted your input. I want the giveaway to be fair, but not overly complicated. If I can get a good response on Twitter, or here on this blog this weekend I will follow through with the "Five Dollar Flick" giveaways as planned. Keep in mind though that I've got to get a noteworthy response from a good many people for me to be convinced. Also you should know that there's a lot more at stake than just $5 DVDs. I had planned to increase the value, and variety of the prizes I giveaway if I see a good response from my readers, and those who follow me on Twitter. I want to give back to those who continue to support my efforts, but you've got to prove to me that you are willing to participate. I've held good giveaways in the past, and have gotten little to no response. I do hope that changes. Feel free to comment in the comment box below, or voice your opinion about the pssible giveaways on my Twitter (@OtakuDante) timeline.

I think I'll end the update article on that note. I hope that your Friday is Awesome as is your weekend. My heartfelt condolences go out tho those who lost loved ones in the latest Malaysian flight. I can only imagine your grief.

Your Last Samurai,
Brad Carver (OtakuDante)
