I know it's been a while since my last post, but I assure you I'm still working on getting some fresh content posted on this blog. While I've not really tried to reach out to developers, or PR recently I did manage to get MTG 2015, and it's DLC expansion for review. I'm actually glad I did as well, because I love Magic the Gathering with a deeply burning passion. Despite my positively biased opinions towards MTG, and it's offerings though most of you have likely seen my ranting on twitter pertaining to MTG 2015, regarding my series of setbacks I experienced during my playthrough. At this point I've not come to a solid verdict regardless of the before mentioned setbacks, and plan on giving the game a proper chance before delivering my final critique. I hope you guys, and gals stay tuned for that review.
In other news I've been window shopping at 'gamestop.com' looking for games that I might be interested in buying. Among these likely future purchases are the new-gen release of 'DOA5: Last Round', 'MKX', 'Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate', 'The Order 1886', and some other popular choices that have caught my undivided attention. Seeing as my funds are limited each month I'll more than likely only get a couple of games at a time. This time around it will be 'DOA5:LR' for the PS4, and Xbox One. I plan on doing an impressions article for my readers in order to give them the thumbs up, or thumbs down in regards to it's worthiness. The same will follow for each other new game purchase that I make in 2015. I probably won't be requesting, or receiving too many major titles for review this year for the simple fact that I had a falling out with a handful of PR who in their own individual ways did me wrong in 2014.
Here at "OtakuDante's Gaming Inferno" I don't put up with PR BS, even if that means turning away from some significant review opportunities. I'd love nothing more than to provide those reviews for you, but when it involves kissing the ass of PR who think they know it all I just won't do it. I personally pity the company's tied to these types of PR agencies. Bandai Namco, Koei Tecmo, and some others really need to re-evaluate who it is that is dealing with the journalists seeking to review their games. I've personally never let any company down with my reviews, other than those whose games were full of suck, and I cannot for the life of me understand being ignored/treated poorly by PR agencies like FortySeven, OnePR, or the likes after having provided quality reviews.
Moving on though ...
I'll still make it my goal in 2015 to provide more content for your reading education, and enjoyment as I initially intended to do. I hope that you continue to stop by whenever I've posted something new, and that you leave a comment whenever you feel inclined to. Once again ... here's to 2015, and all the review opportunities it may bring!
Your Last Samurai,
Brad C. (OtakuDante)
