TuneIn Radio App (PS VITA)

I'm a long time fan of music. Growing up I listened to everything from classical symphonies to heavy metal on my radios, cassette players, and even CD players. Music often times has been my peaceful escape when I needed some R&R, and has even inspired me to draw some of my greatest artistic masterpieces from time to time. Without music I think we can all agree that the world would be a much duller place. It is the music that breathes life into onscreen action whether it be in video games, or the latest movie releases. It is music that lulls us to sleep as children, and that inspires us to do our best. Throughout the years, and through many innovative creations music has been brought to us in the convenience of our own homes as well as in our daily outdoor activities. While the record players of yesteryear are a whisper of the distant past things like mobile apps continue to give us the opportunity to listen to the music we want to hear whenever, and wherever we want to hear it. One such app has been recently introduced on the PS VITA. While the PS VITA is more of a gaming device than a proper music source it still acts as a proper platform for the music that is made available through the traditional radio stations.

TuneIn Radio as it were, was recently released to the PS VITA platform during a recent console update. It basically acts as a free-to-use radio tuner. The application itself is simple yet effective in construction, and provides amazing sound quality as well as a global selection of radio stations. You'll find that as complex as it is it still has an easy to browse interface. Through squares that continuously update by flipping CD cover images you'll be able to select which song you wish to hear whenever you wish by simply pressing a button, or even by touching the console's screen. By clicking, or finger tapping a specific square icon you'll gain access to the song whose CD cover is currently being displayed. As you listen to your song of choice you can also add the current station to your list of favorites as well as search for other songs, artists, genres, or stations via the simple search bar.

The "TuneIn" app literally contains every kind of music imaginable as well as a wide variety of radio stations from all over the world. Those of you who are seeking the soothing sounds of classical music will find it with ease. The same goes for anyone who is searching for rap, techno, heavy metal, rock, the 80's, or even the 90's style of music. If you have eccentric tastes like myself you can even listen to German, or Russian music as you lay down for some R&R, or even as you travel on the go. Having such an app definitely makes music listening an easy, and fun experience. Very rarely will you find me endorsing something like a simple radio station app, but this thing is Awesome!!! If you haven't downloaded it yet I highly suggest you do so.

You'll be pleasantly surprised at the selection of music made available to you as well as the sound quality of the accompanying PS VITA console. I for one have already marked a few radio stations for quick reference, and will soon be listening to some Goth Metal, Heavy Metal, Rock, and Alternative stations. I definitely had a blast listening to it today, and will no doubt continue enjoying "TuneIn" for as long as it stays free.
