Call of Duty | Corporate Capitualtion Circa 2020

Over the years I've taken a liking to the Call of Duty franchise. I've enjoyed the arcade military shooter, and it's interesting assortment of mechanics and modes. That, and the story plot twists. It's brought worthwhile entertainment to me even though some of that entertainment was at the expense of helpless run & gunners who fell victim to my many camping traps. Not saying some didn't deserve it, because some of those cheating f**kers definitely did. That aside the routine release has been what I've come to expect from the series. The decline of online quality and all. That is until this travesty of a year reared it's ugly head.

Like all entertainment producing studios Activision, and their elite team of developers have bent the knee on numerous occasions to political ideology through in-game design and offerings. Sometimes in the guise of supporting the right side of history, and other times not so much. There have been some additions to the gameplay elements that have definitely caught my attention. The inclusion of BLM supporting ads at the loading screen, and the latest DLC Revolutionary bundle in Modern Warfare which featured a double hammer emblem that was very similar to Russia's hammer and sickle. Needless to say this and the inclusion of certain burka wearing middle eastern characters has raised plenty of red flags. It tells me that Activision is supportive of communism, marxism, and islam. That they aren't for the American way of life. The freedoms, and human rights that so many wish they had.

It is this blatant disregard for America, and the pushing of damning politics that has me wanting to say what I've said here. I can no longer ignore the choices Activision, and others like them have made. It spits in the face of consumers who have supported the company's venture into capitalism, and basically promotes a socialist way of life as they continue to reap the benefits of capitalistic gain. It's hypocrisy through business. They seem ignorantly okay with the idea of having you capitulate to the tyrannical powers that be as all your opportunities, and rights are stripped from you via socialism, communism, marxism, and islam. Preaching through their in-game displays, and DLC that it's alright to bend the knee to these ideologies, and tyrannical ideas. Which is not fine by any measure. Not by anyone with a hint of rational thought. It is brainwashing, and propaganda in the guise of a video game. Something I do not condone, or support. I paid absolutely nothing for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (2019), because I could see the route they were taking, and while I thought some of the features were alright I was NEVER okay with the propaganda. NEVER. That's why I'm setting it straight right now as to where I stand with Activision, and Call of Duty.

I cannot, and will not recommend Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, even if I were to get it for review, because I could see through the Beta that it would be a Trojan Horse for further propaganda. That, and the obvious push for base level diversity and inclusion at the expense of quality characters. The character models looked like sh*t, by the way, and if I were to be bluntly honest the game looks dated. It looks like something they had on the back burner just in case the economy went tits up. I strongly suggest that any of you considering to buy into this latest Call of Duty to think about what I've said, and fact check my claims. If you do buy into it I want you to pay close attention to the DLC, and in-game politics if there is any. My gut feeling says they'll double down on the Anti-American / Anti-Capitalism sentiment while continuing to rake in money from all the CoD fans.

Definitely pay attention to reviewers, and critics to get an idea of how deep seeded the political angle goes. If they dodge important topics that would hurt their chances at further review opportunities it would only serve to show you that the company, and those who support it are corrupted by money, and are capitulating to outside interests that do not have your best interest in mind. Sometimes the only way to make the right changes in the course of history and the world of entertainment is to bankrupt the money makers that hold influence on society. Even if that means missing out on something cool or trendy. Money empowers those who empower tyrants, and in this day and age the rise of tyrants is rife within the realm of politics.
